“Journos has that rare ability to make a statement while remaining entertaining and musically engaging.” --Malcolm Burn, DJ @ WKNY & Grammy-winning producer Less than one year after the surprise sell-out of their debut album, JOURNOS drops the single “Nowhere To Hyde” from their upcoming sophomore release, The Burning Question. Journos’ 2023 album, In The Key Of WTF!, garnered critical acclaim and indie radio airplay. Songs like “Dirty Money,” “Oh Tyranny!,” “Don’t Wake The Trouble,” and “Something Worth Feeling Again” directly took on the challenges facing the USA and world.

On The Burning Question, Journos (Bryan Russo & Ryan Abbott) re-introduce us to the characters who got us here and tells us how to get started fixing things. Already working the new material out on the road, the early reviews of the brilliant songs on The Burning Question are making waves in the Indie Americana, Blues-Rock underground!

Award winning journalist and lyricist Bryan Russo teams up with College Radio Charting rocker Ryan Abbott, to produce a terrific collection of deep-thinking songs that sound like hard-drinking songs. Adding drummer Ryan Jared, to round out the sound, Russo's lyrics recall the snark of Elvis Costello and dry humor of Randy Newman, while Abbott's hooks relentlessly drive this hard-rocking quintessential Americana record. In the Key of WTF! is a palate cleanser for an audience saturated with the static of televised news commentary, but it also does the trick turned up with your car windows down on a hot August night.

"Mr. Tindley" is available for purchase only as a Bonus Track on the CD version of Journos' debut album: In The Key Of WTF.

The song was recorded on March 14th 2020 (the day before the world went on lockdown due to Coronavirus) and will be part of a new short film of the same name that hopes to solidify Tindley's place in the history books alongside other prominent African American figures who grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland like Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass.
